ERIKA

Upon moving to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Erika launched Urban Grace Interiors—an interior design firm created to serve the growing communities taking shape along 30A. Little did she know the years of hard work, opportunity, and creative exploration that would follow, leading to projects both near and far. From skyline views in New York City apartments to the beachside cottages just beyond her doorstep, Erika’s intuitive sensibilities and hands-on approach have earned the trust and admiration of her clients—and ultimately propelled her into new creative territory: textiles.

For years, Erika spent time watercoloring alongside her daughters simply as a way to play. Over time, those moments of creativity evolved into a meaningful collection of doodles and hand-painted designs she felt called to bring to life. And what better way for an interior designer to share her artistry than through textiles? Blending the medium she works with every day and her original patterns led to the creation of her textile collection — a warm invitation into Erika’s world of design. Celebrating creativity, curiosity, and the beauty that emerges from the 'art of play', Erika’s line is created from a place of joy, with the hope of sparking joy in the homes and hearts it touches.

Emily

After graduating from the University of Georgia in 2015, Emily packed her bags and headed south to join the Urban Grace team as an interior designer. She fully expected her time in paradise to last a year or two—long enough to gain invaluable design experience, soak up plenty of beach days, and then head back to “real life” in a city somewhere!

Fast forward a few years, and Emily found herself doing just the opposite. She met, married, and put down roots in Santa Rosa Beach with her husband, Field. They have since welcomed two children, Scottie and Wade, and can’t imagine living and raising their family anywhere else!

After a year and a half of managing projects and refining her design sensibilities under Erika’s wing, Emily had a lightbulb moment. Knowing Erika had long dreamed of launching a textiles line—and with patterns already designed and colorways beginning to take shape—Emily saw an opportunity to help bring that vision to life. She pitched the idea of stepping in to help shepherd the line from concept to reality, and Erika was thrilled. Having developed both a close friendship and a deep understanding of Erika’s aesthetic, it was a natural transition for Emily to help further refine and establish her namesake line. Since then, the two have worked tirelessly to produce a collection of patterns and products that reflect the same joy found in their creation.

Jenna

Jenna is a Nursing graduate from the University of Alabama with a specialization in cardiac intensive care and college health. She joined the Urban Grace Interiors team as their Resource Librarian in September of 2021 and quickly grew into a Design Assistant role, helping the designers around the studio, on site projects, as well as with ordering and tracking. She often helped on the EMP Textiles side and we loved her positive energy and work ethic, so when the opportunity arose for her to join us as the Logistics and Warehouse Assistant in October of 2022, we were elated she said yes!

When Jenna is not working, you can find her relaxing on Grayton Beach or traveling with her husband, two little boys, and black lab. They have lived in some cool spots over the years, but most recently they spent 6 months exploring the west coast in their airstream before deciding to settle down in beautiful Santa Rosa Beach. They loved the laid-back lifestyle of 30A, and decided to make this vacation spot their full-time home. Jenna has always enjoyed painting, drawing, and making pottery, so she has loved letting her creative side fly here at Erika M. Powell Textiles.
